The domain is not an accident. .hiv is a TLD established to support HIV/AIDS awareness. We use it because the cause is the point, not the footnote.
Sourced carefully. Bottled simply. The product is water — the most elemental thing — handled with the same rigour applied to any artisanal food or drink. Nothing added. Nothing removed. The quality justifies the premium. The premium funds the research.
HIV affects 39 million people globally. Treatment has advanced enormously. A cure has not arrived. Research is chronically underfunded relative to the scale of the disease. The gap between what exists and what is possible is a funding problem as much as a science problem.
water.hiv directs funds to organisations working at the frontier of HIV research. Partners are disclosed. Allocations are published. There is no opacity here.
water.hiv launches as a popup on the Box Fraise platform — available at events, in collaboration with cafés and restaurants who want to serve water that means something. Each bottle sold is a direct contribution. The popup model keeps overhead low and the margin toward the cause.
